WHY MOURN ON A GOOD FRIDAY?

For those who regret that Jesus died:

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
--Matthew 16:21‭-‬23
Jesus rebuked Peter because it was Jesus' plan to suffer, die and to rise on the third day but Peter was talking against it.

For those who weep for Jesus died:

Even there were people who were mourning when Jesus was carrying the cross. Read it below as it is written:
And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him.
But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’
--Luke 23:27‭-‬29

Jesus' death was the gift that He brought for us to this world.

Because...
"... God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." --Romans 5:8
Don't treat Jesus the way you treat a man. He is the God who came to pay the price for our sins by dying in our place. He redeemed us with His blood. Make a joyful unto Him.

How to do the will of God

In the recent past I was very much troubled with respect to God's will. I'd be very confident and excited to do some things and all of a sudden somebody would say let's see if it is God's will. Then I was worried of not doing God's will because I did not think of it in the first place. So I questioned myself as follows: Why didn't I think about God's will in the first place? Am I not interested to do the will of God? Do I actually know about God's will? In fact, I always tried to live as per the word of God but never really thought of doing anything as per the will of God. Though the word of God reveals the will of God, I never really thought of God's will as a concept. But somewhere in my heart I know that we should live as per the will of God. So I started studying about the Will of God and here's what I understood: Definition of God's Will: What God would like to see happen is the will of God. In order to make us do His will, God gave us H...

Crime Vs Sin

While living in this world, we always live under two authorities: ·          Spiritual government o    God is the creator of the universe and he ordained a set of rules for our life. When we violate those rules we commit sin. Basically any disobedience to God command is sin . ·          Worldly government o    Society in the world is divided into many states and each state has it’s own constitution and penal code for it’s citizens. Any violation of that penal code is a crime . Below are the few differences between crime and sin. CRIME SIN Local – defined only for the people of a state Global – defined for all humanity Courts can judge Courts cannot judge Punishment is temporary Punishment is forever Crime is not always sin Sin is not always crime ...
